Amaliada Municipality of Ilida

The seat of the Municipality is the city of Amaliada, a modern city, built in the center of the fertile Iliak plain. The western limits of the municipality are the fairy-tale shores of the Ionian sea and to the east the forested green hills, which end up with the massif of the central Peloponnese.

Amaliada can be reached by road (and in the future by air). Multiple routes start and end in the city, as its position makes it a crossroads between the Central and Western Peloponnese, the North and the South respectively. From the port of Kyllini, located at a distance of 31 km. from the city, one can travel to Zakynthos and Kefalonia daily.
